I have got to do A time for forgiveness as my RE homework and then write about why forgiveness is important to Christians the whole essay has to be 200 words and without the Why it is important part I have 74 words please help. Thanks :)
We all need the Lord Jesus's forgiveness, which He bought for us with His death on the cross.
We are all sinners. Only JESUS is acceptable PAYMENT for our sins. All the good deeds in the world won't pay for even ONE of our sins. All the "living a moral life" won't pay for even one of our sins.
Jesus died on the cross to pay for our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead. That is why Jesus had to die on the cross, because there is no other way for us to be saved. You must believe in Jesus alone for salvation, to be saved! That simple! :) The person that believes in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, is forgiven all sins past, present, and future, and will be in heaven, no matter what!
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in Jesus for salvation, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so verwhy is forgiveness important essayy much! :D And the Trinity is true!
Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus alone to save you! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).
Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D
God has made it clear in His Word that if we desire forgiveness from Him, we must forgive others.
Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matthew 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
马克 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
I don't want to throw you off course but if you follow from Early Christian archives you find this and it tells me they ruled with an iron fist. Doesn't it seem to say do it our way or suffer the consequences
Some quotes from our forefathers
On the dogmas of religion, as distinguished from moral principles, all mankind, from the beginning of the world to this day, have been quarreling, fighting, burning and torturing one another, for abstractions unintelligibwhy is forgiveness important essayle to themselves and to all others, and absolutely beyond the comprehension of the human mind.
-- Thomas Jefferson, letter to Archibald Carey, 1816
Any system of religion that has anything in it that shocks the mind of a child, cannot be a true system.
-- Thomas Paine, as quoted by Joseph Lewis in Inspiration and Wisdom from the Writings of Thomas Paine (which contains no pagination or source citations)
Sit down and analytically think about it. How does a situation arise that one might require forgiveness? Why is it better to forgive? How does one feel in a situation that might cause the mind to consider it? I'll give you one hint... Christianity isn't the only religion that finds forgiveness to be a good thing.
I hope you do very well on your assignment.

you may have to use your own words/edit this, but:
Forgiveness is important because God loves us enough and forgives us of our sins, so we, too must forgive and love others. If God can love us when we screw up and fail, then we must learn to love like that. Love like Jesus does... unconditionally. It would be hypocritical of us to not forgive someone when they do us wrong, because we live under the Grace of God and He forgives us daily when we mess up.
Because Jesus First Forgave 'us'! <')))><
