end of lent fastEnd of Lent?

I was just wondering.... Why does Lent ends on Easter Sunday? Beacuse if surely if it represents Jesus fasting in the desert, how on earth was he able to eat the last supper before his resurrection? Would it not make more sense if Lent ended on Maundy Thursday?
Had not though about that one before. I think it was because he fasted in the desert a while before and as the date is flexible it over laend of lent fastps.

All a bit weird. You just have a great easter. Enjoy your eggs and dont worry about it alll....
Lent ends at Noon on Saturday. Always has... Always will.
Lent is not inherited from the Jewish calendar & instituted holidays - - the 40 days have to be counted from the Ash Wednesday start and to exclude the Sundays throughout those six weeks during Feb. and March - - Jesus did not fast durinend of lent fastg the lead up to the week between Palm Sunday and the Crucifixion - Burial - Easter. The 40th day of Lent that leads to a "break" of the fasting and renunciation is strictly to be followed by the Catholic Christians of all stripes with happy, feasting, new attire on Easter Eve - Sunrise Service - Large Attendance public worship on Sunday whatever day Easter falls year by year by year
